Μετά τη χρήση απορρυπαντικών, οι μυρωδιές τους μπορεί να παραμείνουν στον υγραντήρα. Πρέπει να σημειωθεί ότι η χρήση απορρυπαντικών μέσα στον υγραντήρα προτείνεται μόνο σε περίπτωση ανάγκης. Για να απαλλαγείτε από τις οσμές μπορείτε να δοκιμάσετε το εξής:
Πρώτον, ο υγραντήρας θα πρέπει να ανοιχτεί και να αεριστεί πολύ καλά.
Εάν αυτό δεν βοηθήσει και οι οσμές δεν εξαφανιστούν μετά από μερικές ημέρες, μπορείτε να τοποθετήσετε ένα ποτήρι με ουίσκι ή κονιάκ στον υγραντήρα και να τον κλείσετε. Προσοχή: Αυτό θα επηρεάσει το άρωμα του υγραντήρα για μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα! Μερικοί λάτρεις των πούρων προσθέτουν επίτηδες μερικές σταγόνες ουίσκι ή κονιάκ στο υγρό του συστήματος ύγρανσης ώστε να τελειοποιήσουν το άρωμα των πούρων.
